Home Description

House Clara is a small and newly built Residence in Consiglio di Rumo, at a short distance from the lake and Gravedona centre. House Clara is near to the main road and shops, but is in a quite area. From the upper apartments you look directly down on the village and have a nice view on the mountains, with only 1 Km to the lake. The apartments are furnished with care and are most comfortable

"GIADA " ground floor apartment 70 m2, accommodating 2 to 4 people in one Double bedroom and in the basement (with high windows) a second large bedroom with twin beds. a bathroom with a shower, open kitchen and living room.

The Lombardy Region

The apartment is on Lake Como which is in Lombardy region. Lake Como is one of the most beautiful Italian Lakes. It is situated in a basin surrounded by mountains. The lake offers quite a varied landscape, with colourful scenery and surroundings all year round.

The largest town on the north -west coast is Como, with historical monuments, and wonderful shops for that special purchase of Italian fashion with weekly markets where you can find everything from designer shoes and bags to pots and pans.

The old Roman road passes through Cernobbio (Villa D'Este), Menaggio (golf course) passes Isola Comacina (the only island in the lake) leads up to Gravedona and then up into Switzerland and Austria.

Gravedona area

Gravedona is in northern are of Lake Como, in an area full of history and natural attractions.There are plenty of leisure activities to meet all one's needs. It's the ideal location to bring the family and relax.

It offers both water and land sports for all ages, or for anyone who might enjoy to discover the natural beauty of the lake and all the surroundings. Gravedona is situated on the western shore of "Alto Lario", and is one of the gems of Como Lake.

How to get there

By car through Switzerland Gotthard tunnel, Lugano, Italian border, Menaggio, Gravedona, or through Switzerland, Splugen pass, Chiavenna, Gravedona.

The apartments are just 100 Km far from Milano Malpensa / Linate airport , budget flights, e.g. with (http://www.ryanair.com or easyet ) arrive at Milano or Bergamo airport . All these airports have the main car hire companies, and bus connections to lake Como.

Further details outdoors: At 15 min. distance are two swimming pools ( summer), tennis court and extensive cycle paths that wind through the fields and along the lake.

The area offers hiking in the mountains (there are many hiking tracks), discover historical sites, sport (sailing, golf, windsurf, horse riding, climbing), shopping, have a rest in one of the many coffee shops for a cappuccino or an ice cream.

There are various cycling tracks, a green zone for walks and an exercise-trail. There are windsurf, sailing, and water-ski schools in Domaso, which (2 km) away. On the Pian di Spagna (10 km) there is a horse-riding centre. In Menaggio (15 km) there is an 18 hole Golf course. Possibility of excursions in boat to Bellagio, Piona, Varenna, Como, etc... Crisscrossing the lake gives you a beautiful view of the private villas and parks
