At that time families travelled by train or carriage to Como and then further up the lake by boat and that implies that Villa Solinga was easier to reach by boat at that time. |

July is the hottest month ( 30 C) , Springtime starts in April, May and June are usually warmish, also September and very much loved by people not liking it too hot. Winters are bright with lots of sun shine and nearly no rain but cold, it may snow however once or twice and the snow vanishes near the lake but stays on the mountain tops. |
