Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club in Croce (just above Menaggio). A corner of British tradition on Lake Como. A natural course of fascinating tradition, a Mecca of golfing culture since 1906. This golf course designed after British courses is one of the most beautiful settings one will find for a golf course. The course is short but don’t let it fool you that it is easy. The clubhouse is elegant and their library has one of the best collections of golf books found anywhere. This is a must 18 hole golf course for golf enthusiasts. Open March 16 to November 16. Tel. 0344 32103 www.menaggio.it Golf Club Lanzo, located in the Intelvi near Lanzo. 9 hole course (plays 18 with different tee settings). Opens end of April till the first week of November. This course, though not as prestigious as the Menaggio course, is located in a beautiful setting and is well worth checking out.
